Seattle 1961 is inspired by Seattle’s 1962 World’s Fair, when the Monorail was introduced as a symbol of the future. At the time, people imagined a city transformed by modern transit and endless progress.

Now it’s 2026, the future they once dreamed about. After years of construction, Seattle and Bellevue are finally connected by a new light rail line, only the city’s second lightrail line after decades of waiting. The Monorail still runs along its short original route, a small reminder of what people once thought the future would look like.

This design reflects that strange feeling of living in someone else’s future where the reality arrived a little differently.

  • 55% cotton, 45% polyester
  • Fabric weight: 13.27 oz./yd.² (450 g/m²)
  • Lightweight and very soft material
  • Classic fit with unisex sizing
  • 4-color jacquard knit

Due to the design’s color combinations, individual colors might appear slightly different in real life compared to the mockup. The t-shirt may shrink slightly after the first wash. For best results, follow the care instructions, and wash at 30–40°C.

Minor batch differences can occur during blank garment production due to variations in fabric, dye and processing. This is common in apparel manufacturing, and we work hard to keep every item consistent.
